1st Graders are Sailing the Sea with Warm & Cool Colors

Learning about warm and cool colors, 1st graders recently created torn paper landscape collages. These collages have us dreaming of warm summer evenings.

2nd grade Deconstructed Paintings

Students created a repeating pattern with crayon. After the pattern was complete, students finished the design with bold watercolors. Paintings were cut into 3" squares and reassembled into an interesting artwork. Beautiful!

2nd Grade Pendulum Paintings

Students have been studying and exploring motion. Force, movement, and friction were discussed as we watched patterns being created in paint by our pendulum. Students worked in groups to create these large works of art. (Some photos are in-process, others are finished works of art.)

Club Roar Batiks

Club Roar students have been experimenting with a variety of art techniques. They recently created designs in wax on fabric. The following session we used Easter egg coloring to dye our fabric. The wax was ironed between newsprint and removed. Their designs turning out amazing!

1st grade Mixed Media Robots
