1st grade Cool Penguins with Warm Scarves

Students have been learning about warm and cool colors. Penguins live where it is cold and are sitting on top of a chilly iceberg in the students' artworks. The penguins will stay warm with their cozy scarves on.

6th grade Value Scales & Paintings

Students have been learning about creating value with black, white, and one color. Mixing paint can be fun but tricky to create a nice graduation of color. Their value scales look amazing.






Students were asked to create a painting including 
5 values of one color.

1st Grade Ice Cream Cones



Students learned about values of a color by creating a big four scoop ice cream cone. A different value of the color was used for each scoop. Students enjoyed painting, cutting, and gluing to create these mouthwatering desserts.

6th Grade Line Collages

Students have been learning to create a variety of different types of lines. In these one day projects, students explored their choice of at least three different types of lines to create appealing compositions.
